Community Southwest has nine foundation members. Membership has now increased to fifteen member organisations which includes three Associate Members.

Members pay an annual membership fee as a contribution towards the cost of managing and maintaining the centers of excellence. Membership currently entitles a member to benefit from the services provided.

Community Southwest Ltd has two membership options. Full membership and associate membership. Full membership is available to organisations that are funded, non-government, not for profit with a member elected board or committee, based in south west Victoria. Associate membership is for those non-government, not for profit organisations, that do not meet the criteria for full membership. Only full members may nominate a board member or vote for a board member.
