Profile:

In 1982, the Mulleraterong Centre Inc established a residence providing intellectually disabled people in the Hamilton region with permanent and respite accommodation.

Mulleraterong Residential Services Association became an incorporated body in July 1990 and on October 31 2006 became known as STAY Residential Services. STAY is the acronym of “Support to Accommodate You”. 

STAY’S CORE BUSINESS is to provide accommodation and support services to people with a disability and their families who reside in the Southern Grampians Shire.

STAY Residential Services Association is a non-government, not-for-profit Community Service Organisation funded by the Department of Human Services and managed by a dedicated Committee of Management.

STAY’S MISSION

STAY Residential Services Association Inc. will

• Provide high quality programs, services and community residential options for people with a disability that best meet their needs and helps them develop to their full potential
• Work in partnership with all governments to deliver services and advocate for people with a disability
• Promote the individual needs, aspirations of the people we support.
• Ensure the needs of the residents are paramount in our service delivery
• encourage resident involvement in their planning and development
• be financially viable
• challenge and educate the community on behalf of our residents
• foster the practice of inclusive service
• Invest in resources and training for our staff to retain our most important assets,
• Empower our staff to maintain active involvement in the development and direction of the organisation
• Work in collaboration with other providers who also provide services to our residents in the local region
